With Labor Day behind us we suddenly have to shift gears into a busier season. At Sacred Heart some important events are just around the corner so sign up now to reserve your place. We do not want you to miss out. This Friday is the deadline to register for next week’s free estate planning seminar which will be held Wednesday, Sept. 13 at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Local attorney Ashley Fortune and members of the diocesan-planned giving team will be here to explain how you can give yourself and your family the peace of mind of a clear and properly documented record of your wishes and intentions. Even if you already have an estate plan, this is a good opportunity to review it and identify any new considerations which should be reflected there. Enjoy light refreshments while you get your questions answered.
This Sunday is our Faith Formation and Youth Ministry registration and picnic. Sunday is the only registration day for these programs which start the following weekend. Important information will be shared with parents through the registration process. Children and youth must be preregistered to participate. Enjoy hot dogs starting at noon while you go through enrollment. If it is not possible for you to attend Sunday, contact Tricia Poche in the church office at (828) 883-9572 as soon as possible.
We are updating our church directory and we would like to see everyone’s smiling faces shining out of the pages. The photography session is free and you receive one free photo and a copy of the directory for participating. Slots are starting to fill up. Photography appointments can be made by calling the church office at (828) 883-9572 or by following the online sign-up instructions in the church bulletin. Openings are available Wednesday through Saturday, Sept. 20-23 and Monday through Tuesday, Sept. 25-26 while they last. As always we welcome you to join us for weekend Masses offered Saturdays at 4 p.m. (English) and 7 p.m. (Spanish), and Sundays at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Check our website www.sacredheartbrevard.org for more information.
