Marian University receives $1.2M for Christian fathers initiative … – Inside INdiana Business

A new initiative will soon launch at Marian University — one aiming to specifically educate Christian fathers on parenting and spreading their faith.
The Lilly Endowment gave the Catholic, Indianapolis-based university a more than $1.2 million grant to establish the project called Fraternitas: the Brotherhood of Fathers.
The grant falls into the Endowment’s Christian Parenting and Caregiving Initiative, which launched in 2022. According to a news release, it seeks to assist families from diverse Christian communities to live out and pass out their faith to the next generation.
Marian is one of 77 organizations receiving grants this round.
“We’ve heard from many parents who are seeking to nurture the spiritual lives of their children, especially in their daily activities, and looking to churches and other faith-based organizations for support,” said Christopher Coble, Lilly Endowment’s vice president for religion. “These thoughtful, creative and collaborative organizations embrace the important role that families have in shaping the religious development of children and are launching programs to assist parents and caregivers with this task.”
The Fraternitas program will have an app where fathers can build habits, connect and find resources. The program will also have camps for fathers and children to attend as well as adapt itself to be repackaged at parishes, in youth sports and at Catholic schools.
The state of Indiana boasts a booming business landscape, with it being home to numerous Fortune 500 companies while also being focused on growing the tech sector and providing endless opportunities to cultivate innovation and entrepreneurship. However, even with a strong business ecosystem, companies in Indiana and nationwide are fighting for market share, putting increased pressure on marketers to prove marketing ROI….
